California:
As can be seen by responses, we do not have a single mine permitting agency.
Colorado:
Value information in question 30 is provided by CO Geological Survey.
Connecticut:
Because the towns regulate mining, except for near-shore sand and gravel dredging, we do not receive mining information at the Geological Survey.
Missouri:
Barite, Dimension Stone, and Gem Stone production figures are withheld for proprietary reasons, and are not included in the tonnage figures for question 30.
New Jersey:
A U.S. Bureau of Mines "Mineral Industry Survey" was submitted with the questionnaire and is on file at IMCC.
Texas:
Current regulation of non-coal solid mineral production is limited to uranium mining (none active) and safety barriers for aggregate pits and quarries within 200 feet of a public road.
